California-based tech start-up Kytch has filed a $900M lawsuit against Mcdonald's. The suit comes after McDonald's emailed franchise owners advising them not to use Kytch's product. The product in question is remote monitoring software that informs ice cream machine owners of potential outages before they occur.
McDonald's, often playing the part of the place with the broken ice cream machine, claimed the software posed safety risks and could violate the machine's warranties. A spokesperson for the fast-food giant has called the suit "meritless."
Telling it like it is - We feel like we speak for ice cream fans everywhere when we say “take em to the cleaners, boys!”
