Space tourism company Virgin Galactic released financial records for Q4 2021 and results were grim. The company has yet to begin commercial service and in the last 2 years has lost $1 billion.
Calling it quits? Company officials have chosen to look on the bright side of the financial data reporting "We remain on track...We achieved many important milestones in 2021 that laid an essential foundation towards becoming a scaled, commercial operation." Issues do not seem to stem from lack of demand, but lack of capacity. The company is still in a test phase but expects to begin commercial operations late in 2022.
Telling it like it is - A StarWars box set and 6-pack would have been cheaper and more fun at this point, y’all.
