Back in December, Mercedes-Benz of Easton started offering access to the therapy app Better Help for all associates.
GM Daniel Govaer said the store's managers realized in their 1:1 meetings with associates that Covid had left a lingering stress in the team. When the managers themselves tried to help, associates set up therapy through company-provided insurance, and the stress only increased.
Much of the info available was outdated, some doctors listed were retired, and more challenges in the initial setup quenched the motivation and courage people needed to seek the help they needed.
Since handling the initial setup and covering all the costs with Better Help, 12% of the store's associates have started using it, with an average 5/5 rating when asked if they would recommend the app to a friend and when asked about their therapists.
Mercedes-Benz of Easton has set their people on the path to a more mentally healthy life that will, without a doubt, become a more delightful experience for their customers.
