Experts say the country needs six large plants to sustain a healthy car industry but currently only has one small Nissan plant. Fear of losing the entire vehicle production industry and 170K jobs in the region has lawmakers working toward a solution. 

Solutions? About $1.2B in funds allocated by the government seek to support the supply chain. Battery Startup, Britishvolt, and Nissan, are working on large battery plants. People still wonder current planning is enough to make a timely difference.
