We had countless chats with dealers while at NADA, and each dealer shared with us their tips, tricks, and insights for the industry. In case you missed them, here's a glimpse of what we picked up from our conversations over the weekend.
Friday: Patrick Abad is the GM of Beaver Toyota of Cumming. His main focus for 2023 is to maintain the physical, mental, and financial wellness of the company and its employees. To achieve this goal, Abad’s company hired a financial advisor, who will offer confidential analyses and lessons to every employee.
Saturday: Tom Dunn is a dealer in Ohio and Kentucky. Tom and his partner have been leading used car dealers in their area for over 30 years through high-quality service and solid used car departments. This year, he spoke at NADA about acquiring and reconditioning used cars.
Sunday: We grabbed Rhett Ricart, owner of the Ricart Automotive Group and NADA Board member, for a quick exchange. He said this year's conference is one of the best he's been to, thanks in no small part to the lack of distractions (looking at you, Vegas). Ricart commented "The dealers needed this," and we couldn't agree more.
