Chevy's first NFT, which came with a free 2023 Corvette Z06, received no bids in last month's auction. When the company opened the auction again, they still received no bids. Trevor Tompkins, a spokesperson for Chevy, said the company's first step into Web3 has been "educational."
The NFT image was designed by Nick Sullo and featured the minted green Corvette in question zooming through a futuristic city scene. The lack of interest has some (us) wondering if cyberpunk NFT art and top-dollar Corvettes appeal to the same folks. The world may never know.
