"My tomorrow starts today," David Meltzer said when asked about his 4 am wake-up time. In a short video he makes a strong case for the how and why of taking control of our morning routines.
Warm down. No athlete performs without warming up; people don't sleep their best unless they practice "warming down."
Protect your bed. Don't bring the news, negative energy, arguments, caffeine, or alcohol into your bed. Protect it for peace.
Trick the ego. The ego wants to sleep in. Tell yourself you're getting up for 1 minute.
Use all your energy. If getting up strong starts the night before, resting the night before starts in that morning. Use your day to expend your physical, mental, and spiritual energy, so sleep is easy to accept when it is time to rest.
The result. The mathematical equation of luck is what you give your attention to + what you give your intention to = coincidences. Setting your day on the best first step will lead to what others call luck, but you know it is a practiced ability to recognize opportunities.
