Ford had some bad news Saturday. Due to supply chain disruptions with 37 of their suppliers, they will have no new vehicles for dealers until May. The news comes just before an expected bump in sales as spring and tax time bring some health back to the market.
Ford lost 100,000 units of production and expected to lose 12% of its yearly sales, which means about $1.7M. Andrew Frick, GM for sales, distribution, and trucks for Ford Blue, said they are trying all they can and still feel confident about their production flow to dealers.
Telling it like it is - We are unable to stop wondering, how long did they see this coming without telling dealers so they knew what to expect?
