Ford to Invest Additional $20 Billion in EV Production

Automotive giant, Ford, has announced a plan to invest $10-20 billion over the next 5 years in their EV production. The announcement comes after a pledge to spend over $30 billion on EVs by 2030 and is part of the "Ford+” plan.

Former Apple and Tesla exec Doug Field is leading the automaker's push into becoming a more robust tech company through the Ford+ plan. According to the report, Ford will seek to update their factories around the world to EV production and hire a number of engineering, Artificial intelligence, and EV software specialists as part of this planned investment.
