Ford to Transition Fleet Business to EV

he e-Transit design seeks to make the transition to EVs as pain-free as possible for long standing fleet customers. With a fully electric drivetrain, the high-volume Transit full-size van line was designed from the start to support existing fleets and the special equipment they have already customized their vans to support. Much like the upcoming F-150 Lightning, the Transit has left the interior completely unchanged.

Will it look like a spaceship? The body is of the same stampings as the gasoline and diesel versions, but it rides on a different chassis to accommodate a liquid-cooled battery pack (the same battery pack as the Mustang Mach-E). The smoother and quieter EV model will still pack 266-hp, maximum torque of 317 lb.-ft, and a gross weight of 9,500lbs.

Telling it like it is - Engines so quiet, the ice cream man will have to crank their jingle so people know where they are.
