Hertz Offers Try Before You Buy EVs

Hertz has teamed up with the city of Denver to launch an innovative EV and charging program designed to kill three birds with one stone:

• Make EVs more accessible and promote their use.
• Provide data to inform charging-station infrastructure for the city.
• Develop Denver tech by providing EV tools and training through a local technical high school.

‍Try before you buy. The "Hertz Electrifies" program will let renters choose from a fleet of more than 5K EVs from various manufacturers with discounts and benefits. The partnership highlights the importance of collaboration between the private sector and local governments for EV adoption to evolve. They hope their program will serve as a model for similar projects around the country.
