The 2022 Pied Piper PSI Internet Lead Effectiveness Study measured the by-brand responsiveness to mystery shopper internet leads. Of 3,628 dealerships studied, twelve brands went up, with fifteen going down. One in 20 dealerships failed to reply to the inquiry at all.
The study claims to highlight a perception that a team can be too busy to help online customers. As more people begin their shopping with online inquiries, these missed contacts are equal to missed sales. Knowing how to utilize all tools to their fullest capacity is critical to staying competitive as the market continues to shift.
