Mike Stanton has challenged the FTC's recently proposed regulations. The NADA CEO says the new regulations are completely unwarranted, redundant, and ineffectual. Stanton went on to say the changes would raise prices and complexity for customers.
Cross the Ts, dot the Is. The proposed rules would ban F&I coverage and physical add-on while requiring expanded disclosure and consent on such features. It will also require dealers to produce a true "offering price," or the total end price required to drive away in a vehicle.
