Last month the Ronin Validator Hack purged over $625M in crypto from the Axie Infinity ecosystem. Axie Infinity is a game where players buy and use NFTs as a key element in gameplay. The hack affected crypto and NFTs owned by users and the developer, Sky Mavis.
Ouch. After ensuring security measures, Sky Mavis raised $150M to reimburse users and will make up the rest from their funds. The company continues working with law enforcement to recover the stolen funds and conduct an independent investigation.
