OEMs In The Race To The EV Top

👷 📉Rivian is considering laying off up to 700 non-manufacturing workers. Like many other companies, the EV maker is weighing streamlined operations in the face of a potential recession. The company's staff exploded to 14k people during the pandemic. No decision has been announced.

🛻 🔋Greely is meeting consumers where they are, which happens to be really pumped about camping. The Chinese EV maker launched the new electric RD6 pickup to provide outdoor activities to people living in Covid stricken population centers.

🤵 💪Lordstown Motors is a startup with relatively few waves in the hurricane of EV competition. A flip in the CEO role may soon change that. New CEO Edward Hightower has experience as a Ford and GM engineer and will lead the company through the development and launch of its Endurance pickup.
