EV company Polestar said an innovative manufacturing process used to create the body and platform simultaneously will be used in their upcoming Polestar 5 EV. The process reduces the manufacturing time of each vehicle and cuts the weight of the vehicle without sacrificing strength.
The process was developed by the company's U.K. R&D team and showcases their engineering, technological expertise, and creative mindset. CEO Thomas Ingenlath says the R&D team is Polestar's greatest asset.
Polestar 5 is an all battery-electric sports car expected to debut in 2024 with a combined power of 800 hp between the front and rear motors and a battery range likely to exceed 300 miles.
