Thursday, President Joe Biden unveiled harsh new sanctions against Russia. The news ended a four-day slide in the market, with major indexes closing on a sharp high.
A step in the right direction.
- Dow gained 92.07 points or 0.28% to close at 33,223.83
- S&P 500 gained 63.2 points or 1.5% to close at 4,288.7
- Nasdaq gained 436.10 or 3.34% closing at 13,473.59
Oil prices are expected to increase, but a healthier market and oil from global strategic reserves may reduce the burden.
