Tesla has a $770M expansion planned for its Texas gigafactory.
The addition will add a battery cell testing lab, cathode and drive unit manufacturing facilities, a die shop, and something called "Cell 1" to the already massive Austin factory.
Some construction will begin in the next few weeks.
Cell 1? Yeah, we don't know, either. It is a 693,093 square foot, $368M space of undisclosed purpose.
