The Holiday Spirit

Apple Autos celebrated the season of giving by joining the effort to give 12 vehicles to 12 single mothers in their community. White Bear Mitsubishi, The Beat Lot, Friendly Chevrolet, Gilleland Chevrolet, Miller Auto Plaza & Volkswagen of Inver Grove joined to give the cars through the Wheels for Women program at Newgate Automotive Training School.

Fully loaded! Each vehicle was delivered in time for Christmas and packed with home goods, toys, NBA tickets, gift cards, photoshoots, service, and whatever else the dealers could pack in to bless the families.

We never use bad language in this email, but just this one time, we will say it - wow-wee, that's freakin' awesome as heck!

Ourisman Automotive Group hosted holiday luncheons for associates and raffled gifts. Then turned their attention and generosity outward to give back. Ninety Eight $25 gift cards were delivered to the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless. The donations will help the nonprofits care for their residents.

Is there a better time of the year to remind people down on their luck that they are not alone?

Toyota of Cool Springs delivered its first pile of collected food to Lewisburg, TN's HOPEtown. The nonprofit cares for people's specific need: Food, clothing, housing, programs for children, etc. As Frank Sullivan put it, "Whatever people are in need of, that's what we're interested in."

The folks at Toyota of Cool Springs will continue to collect food and home goods through December 31 for the community group.

In a perfect world, we would not need people willing to stand "in the gap" and serve whatever needs they encounter. In our imperfect world, at least we get to see and join these beautiful expressions of charity from time to time.

Group 1 Automotive went all hands on deck to wrap gifts for their adopted family. Through the group Kid's Meals, Group 1 Automotive participated in the Adopt-A-Family program to bless their community with enough gifts to give Santa and at least 4 of his reindeer back problems.

Every year I am reminded that wrapping isn't some effortless ending to the gift, but the most challenging part of the experience. These people are saints. -Chris

Beaver Toyota Of Cumming let us look in as they blessed their 3rd Christmas Wish family. Over $2,500 in gift cards and support for groceries, bills, preschool tuition, and a pile of gifts for each child. At the end of a challenging year, a mother and her five children were given a Christmas worthy of the important and wonderful people they are.

It is hard to imagine a more perfect gift to give a parent than to help her give a better year to her children. Amazing.
