Toyota Captures Funding For Hydrogen Prototype

A hydrogen version of Toyota's Hilux pickup is coming to the UK if things go according to plan.

Toyota secured the funds needed to develop the fuel cell tech and will have a prototype built in a plant in Burnaston, England, during 2023.

Almost $14m has been raised between industrial funding and the UK government for the project.

Are they splitting hydrogen atoms to make a car move? No, splitting atoms is for atomic weapons. Hydrogen power captures electricity by adding hydrogen to oxygen, so the only "emissions" are water and warm air.
