The UK. Despite a 30-year low in overall car sales, the UK broke its previous record for EV sales in 2022. 17% of new cars in the UK were EVs, more than diesel for the first time. Two-thirds are business and fleet sales, and Tesla holds the first and third spots on the list of highest EV sales volume in the market.

Germany. Ford needs to make structural changes to increase EV production. Proposed changes to the brand's German plants have people fearing job cuts. Ford said they are willing to talk, and a German union official said the company would decide by mid-February how many jobs to cut in Europe.
