Volkswagen and Canada have agreed to explore opportunities to have VW EV batteries produced in the country. The company is seeking a location for North American battery production due to the US's new EV Tax Credit laws.
VW's Chattanooga, TN plant has started producing ID.4 EVs, but the company informed customers they may not be eligible for the credits because the batteries are produced outside North America.
