VW's new ID.4 will come with Pro and Standard options. At $5000 less than the Pro, the Standard option comes with the same 201-hp rear-wheel drive electric motor, but the battery will be about 3/4 the capacity. Of course, the smaller battery means less range, and at 208 miles between charges, the ID.4 Standard is maybe the lowest range we have seen yet from a Legacy OEM. Balancing out the range is a price tag that, after the $7,500 federal tax credit, will cost just under $30k.

Korean conglomerate, invests in safe chargers for apartment buildings. Each move feels like an investment in being key players in the global shift toward electrification.
