Don Andres, author of “Why Auto Service Departments Fail to Grow”, entered the automotive dealership industry in 1979 as a Service Advisor with Dean Sellers Ford in Troy Michigan, and started Service managing in 1990. In the year 2000, Don accepted the role of Fixed Operations Director for #1 Ricart Automotive in Columbus Ohio, (at that time) the largest Ford dealer in the world on 56 acres, managing 300 employees and generating thirty million in Fixed Operations sales and five million in net profits. Since then, Don has held roles as General manager, Fixed Operations Director and Service management with top 50 dealer groups nationally.
