Kyle Mountsier: 0:00This is In the Dirt with ASOTU. We are here at the Automotive News Retail Forum where the 40 under 40 winners were just brought to stage and I am here with Jeff Ramsey of the Ourismen Group now right? Who is one of the winners of the 40 under 40 this year? Well, first of all, congratulations. How did that whole experience feel for you?

Jeff Ramsey: 0:23

It's It's surreal. It's awesome. I've watched it for decades. So seeing people win it wanting to be in it being pushed into there for a couple of years, and finally coming through, it's like, the weights off my chest, I guess. But it feels great. Very excited.

Kyle Mountsier: 0:36

That's awesome. Now you've come the majority of your automotive career has come through the marketing channel things and you've kind of got a new, a new role with with your new group that is really pushing you into the operation side of things. How's that transition been from really leaning more fully into marketing, and now seeing a lot more of the operational side of the business.

Jeff Ramsey: 0:56

It's totally different. I am, you know, it's looking, it's the same thing. I mean, marketing drive sales, so it was going to marry eventually. So it's here. The Ourisman group saw that I was very thankful for that. And they gave me a shot and it's going except for I mean, what you're looking at the total picture. So usually you saw that divorce, which are not divorced, they were never married, but the that separates it between sales and marketing. And it was it was hard to get things done where I did well Jones was I was in the sales side, and making marketing decisions from that, you know, from being in all the discussions, not Ourisman. All the discussions are in the same spot. It's not trying to piece things together. So we're, you know, we think it's gonna push us to the next level. I'm excited for the opportunity. So far, so good.

Kyle Mountsier: 1:38

Awesome. So what is on the horizon as you guys are at NADA, looking at things or the things that you've been working on? What are those on the horizon for 23, 24? As you guys, we're looking to expand your reach with your customers and ensure that processes are dialed in.

Jeff Ramsey: 1:53

Yeah, so I'm a dealer kid. I grew up my dad at Ford stores, he's down to one, we're buying it and starting in two weeks or two or three weeks. Ramsey Ford will be Ourisman tri state Ford it's a big project for me and it's been something in the mix now for a few weeks I couldn't talk about it like till like now so pretty excited for it I mean it's a dream come true because I've you know, I left there to pursue a bigger anything and getting to bring that back into it where I started 10 years 10, 11 years old, and now have a leadership role in that store and really see what can happen

Kyle Mountsier: 2:34

Man that like literally you said it gave me goosebumps not in my back that's just that's wild and encouraging to me that's really really cool. Now on a personal side, like what's this year look like for you? What are you looking to challenge yourself with? Whether it be in business or outside of business?

Jeff Ramsey: 2:49

I gotta lose like 50 pounds. I gotta get healthier and family. I got another baby coming little baby girl Piper coming in April. So
