Meta Pays out $90M in Facebook Privacy Suit

Facebook's parent company Meta has agreed to a $90 million settlement in a lawsuit accusing it of tracking users after they have logged out of Facebook. The lawsuit is 10 years old, but with online privacy and consumer data concerns receiving more spotlight every day, Meta sees the settlement in the best interest of the community and their shareholders.

A drop in the bucket? The settlement will not only require $90M paid to a claims fund for potentially impacted users, but will require Meta to delete all data the suit argues was wrongfully collected.
